The FA Cup (The Football Association Challenge Cup) is a national cup tournament of English football, organized by the Football Association of England.

The FA Cup is the oldest football competition in the world, the first tournament was held in the 1971/72 season. A large number of teams from different divisions take part in the competition, due to which loud sensations sometimes occur here, but the lower divisions clubs rarely reached the finals. The most award-winning FA Cup clubs are Arsenal and Manchester Unite, having won this trophy 11 times.

The FA Cup is held according to the play-off system and consists of 14 rounds. Pursuant to regulations, if the match ends in a draw, a replay is appointed, where the team that played the away game plays at home. In case this game results in a draw, too, extra time and a following penalty shootout are awarded. In each FA Cup round opponents are determined through draw.

In 2014/2015 season the FA Cup was won by Arsenal (London), which defeated Aston Villa in the Cup final match.
